Post-Merger Integration

A successful merger is a planned merger

With more than 90% of all mergers and acquisitions either failing or underperforming, asking for professionals' support could represent a crucial decision for most businesses seeking to grow through M&As.

Before London Mentors

A Japanese IT giant looking to expand its U.K. operations acquired a British Development Operations firm. The previous acquisitions had not gone as planned; synergies failure and key employees resigning were only a few of their issues. However, this time they were motivated to do things right from the very beginning and called us.

We were brought in before the deal was closed and assigned to manage the full integration programme including budget and resources.

After London Mentors

We prepared the business case, reviewed the press release and designed the plan with the heads of departments. A team arrived from Japan to assess our plans and we had regular reporting to both the U.K. C-level executives and the Japanese board. â€‹There were numerous challenges, we delivered the First 100 days plan on time, achieving the agreed synergies. Most of the heavy uplifting work was completed within the first 6 months, which included migrating clients, suppliers, contractors and workers to new contracts, decommissioning systems and hitting income target. In addition, we negotiated with suppliers and recovered expenditures deemed non-negotiable.
